We are currently seeking a full time Support Worker to work within a supported living unit and assisting the client within the community. This is a unique role where you will be supporting a gentleman with learning disabilities in the Wickham area of Fareham.
The job can be quite physically demanding and is a 2:1 support role whilst he is out in the community. The gentleman likes to go for long walks in the woods, running, jumping & swimming so you must be active and happy to be doing a varied, community based role for much of the time. The rest of the role will be helping to support the gentleman within his supported living unit owned by the organisation.
It is essential that you are a car driver for this role as you will be expected to drive the service users own car for community based activities.
Ideally you will have experience working with vulnerable people and challenging behaviours. Be happy to commit to a full time role that is usually 7am til 7pm shifts, but on occasions there will be a mid shift of 11-6 or 12-7 to be the second support in the community. This role includes working every other weekend (not expected to work full weekend)

- Full time 37.5 hours per week
- 7am til 7pm shifts
- Mid shifts as needed
- Every other weekend work
-Occasional night shift (Rarely required)
- Car driver - you will be driving the gentleman's car when going out in the community
- An element of lone working required at the weekends, Morning and evenings
- Aiding in all elements of personal care.
- Experience advantageous
- Working within a support living role based in Wickham - Fareham

This permanent, full time position is working 37.5 hours per week. There is also the option for overtime should you wish for additional hours.
