This role is based on 40 hours per week across Monday- Sunday. You will be working on a 2 week rolling rota of 12 hour shifts. These may range from 8am - 8pm / 6am - 6pm / 10am - 10pm this role will include working every other weekend.
This position is working within a 13 bedded unit for adults with mild to moderate learning disabilities, mental health needs and some challenging behaviours.
We are looking for someone that has the confidence to be a decision-maker, who is able to use initiative and instinct and always have the best interests of the individual you are supporting in mind. A level of communication skills that will enable you to find common ground and gain trust is essential.
You will be required to assist clients into the community on a daily basis to complete leisure activities or to encourage social integration where required.
Holiday allowance for this role is 30 days per year.
Full training will be given and our client will provide the funding for you to sit the formal care qualifications that are then yours to own. Other ad hoc training will be given on various needs within the business or training they feel will help you understand and be qualified to deal with particular areas and criteria of a care role.
