Support Worker - Our client offers specialist care, support, education and leisure activities for young people with complex needs and learning disabilities in both residential and school settings.
You will be working as a Support Worker with children and young people aged 16 to 19 who need support both during the school day and at their residential homes. This means you will support them throughout the day, starting in the morning by helping them prepare for school and at breakfast time, helping them with their learning in school or supporting the young people during individual activities and finally assisting them in the evening with their nighttime routine.
In the afternoons and on weekends you will have the opportunity to participate in a range of recreational events and activities. You will also help the young people to develop life skills and grow as a person.
The role will offer you the chance to build positive and supportive relationships with the young people by meeting their individual physical, emotional and behavioural needs.
To be considered for the support worker role, you will need:
-Excellent communication Skills
-To be comfortable with personal care
-To have a passion for working with and caring for young people.
-Ideally 6 months personal or paid experience working in care
Salary and shift details:
Salary: £19,809 per year.
Week 1 - Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
Week 2 - Wednesday, Thursday
