We have an AMAZING opportunity for a Support Worker to join a number of fantastic learning difficulty services in the Bristol area. You will be supporting adults with a range of learning difficulties, in a residential setting.

Supporting adults with learning difficulties in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, you will enable the service users to develop socially and emotionally, while encouraging them to live as independently as possible, in a setting where they feel safe and cared for. The role is incredibly rewarding and you will be making a positive difference, each time you start work. You will be committed, passionate, and able to engage, encourage, and support the service users, to the highest standards possible. 
Location: Gloucestershire 
Job Type: Adults with learning difficulties 
Shifts: Days: 0800-2000 Waking Night:  2000-0800
Pay: £11.09 per hour(inclusive of holiday pay)
About the role and service:
As a support worker, you’ll be helping people you support to live the individual life they want, ensuring they have choice and control over the planning and delivery of their support.
  •  Helping people learn the skills they need to live the life they choose.
  •  Helping, encouraging, supporting and teaching the people we support to do their housework, including cleaning and laundry.
  •   Supporting and encouraging people to find opportunities in education, employment and leisure, and enable them to take part in these opportunities.
  •   Helping the people we support to manage their own money.
  •   Working in a supportive manner with colleagues, families and external parties, building trust by being open and honest.
  • Supporting, encouraging and teaching people to maintain personal and intimate care as required, such as dressing themselves, showering/bathing, using the toilet, etc.   
  • Being there for emotional support
  • Excellent Rates of pay, weekly pay, and not Umbrella so no payroll charges.
