*SUPPORT WORKER - CHILDREN WITH AUTISM AND LEARNING DISABILITIES*
Support Worker Vacancy: We are currently recruiting for a number of Children's Support Workers to work within a residential setting for Children and Young People who have mild, moderate and severe autistic spectrum conditions and associated complex learning needs, that need care and support.
The service that we are recruiting for are part of a nationwide organisation that offers career progression and training to employees.
Locations of the services include - Leyland, Ribbleton, Penwortham, Lostock Hall and Haighton
Salary: £8.33p/h + £35 per sleep.
This includes personal care.
Our Client is looking for passionate, professional and dedicated employees to work with children and young adults with autistic spectrum disorders and challenging behaviour. The service is a Residential Home that is linked with a nearby specialist school. Whilst the Young People attend school you will remain at the house, it is desirable that you can drive so that Young People can be taken to and from School/Activities.
As a member of our residential care team you will strive to bring out the best in every young person by supporting and guiding them in their daily lives. This could be in the form of helping the young person at school, accompanying them to take part in an activity (walking, horse riding, trampolining, Duke of Edinburgh etc.) or simply assisting them in completion of general daily tasks, including morning and night time routines.
The homes operate a rolling rota which indicates your shift patterns for the following 12 weeks. A typical early shift would be 07:30-16:00 and a late shift 15:30-22:00. You will work a combination of early and late shifts as assigned by the house manager. Part time opportunities are also available so please contact for details
There is also the opportunity to earn an additional £35 for a sleep-in shift, as well as the possibility of overtime.
