Vetro are recruiting for Male Support Workers for both Days and Nights for a residential care provision for adults with severe learning disabilities and challenging behaviour, based in the North Kesteven district. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate an empathy with our clients and who possesses the skills necessary to support Male clients to develop and achieve their own goals. To be a positive and reassuring presence in the house, supporting and maintaining a safe and respectful therapeutic living environment.

As part of a strong care team you will be providing support to adults with complex needs and significantly challenging behaviours. You will be assisting with day to day care needs, promoting independent living skills and providing a fun and safe environment. You will need to be a team player who is patient and committed to our residents, with a genuine desire to help others.
- To primarily work in the Residential Home providing guidance, support and engagement.
- To contribute to the development of the pupils through the provision of a healthy lifestyle, a variety of appropriate stimulating activities and the example of a consistent and caring adult role model.
- To Support the pupils towards managing their own behaviours and becoming as independent as possible within their own capabilities by using the skills and approved approaches learnt during the training provided.
- To assist with all personal care needs as outlined in their Individual Pupil Care Plans.
We are currently recruiting for Male Residential Support Workers and Waking Night Support Workers. These are full time permanent posts.
Experience within a similar environment would be advantageous, however if you have the right attitude to work alongside a natural resilience to challenging behaviour we would welcome applications.
Hours / Annual Leave / Salary
Day shifts generally work from 8:00am until 9.00pm on a 2-on, 2-off fixed rota averaging 43.5 hours per week.
Night shifts generally work from 7.30pm until 7.30am on a 2-week fixed rolling rota averaging 38.5 hours per week.
The position offers six weeks annual leave in line with shift pattern worked.
The Residential Support Worker position offers a starting salary of £17,681.00 - £19,228.00, dependent upon shift pattern worked.
This post is exempt under the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1
All new employees receive a comprehensive two-week induction and training period together with regular training provided to all staff.
