We are looking to appoint enthusiastic and committed individuals to join a Residential Service who provide support and care, for adults with Learning Disabilities based in Devizes, Wiltshire. In your new role as a Support Worker you will have a varied and rewarding set of responsibilities and help support people's everyday lives.

We are happy to considor individuals with no previous care experience, or if you have previously been a Support Worker there are Senior Support Worker roles available at this site.

  • Salary - up to £19,266.00 dependent on experience
  • Permanent & contract positions available with full time working hours

About the Service

The service supports adults with learning Disabilities and consists of 7 bungalows, 6 being residential and 1 being supported living. Each home has been adapted to meet the requirements of the people supported there. Where appropriate, specialist equipment is provided throughout the homes in addition to personalised technology to enhance resident care and promote independence.

The service is close partnership with resident family members and allied health professionals to help encourage person centred care. You will be providing care and support up to a total of 40 adults across a multitude of sites.

About you (the ideal candidate)

  • Full clean U.K. driving licence

  • Commitment and ability to work with autonomy and within a team

  • Flexibility with working various shift patterns including evenings and weekends

  • Ability to work within a culture that is responsive, inclusive and person centred.

  • Promote health, safety and well-being of the people supported whilst respecting people's personal choice

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

  • A knowledge of people with learning disabilities and/or mental health problems

  • Obtain Diploma in Health and Social Care Level 2.

For a Senior Support Worker Position we require the above criteria in as well as previous experience in overseeing staff and managing rotas and have excellent experience in managing using a range of I.T systems. Please note in order to be considored for a Senior position you must be willing to work towards or have already obtained an NVQ Level 3.
