We have a fantastic opportunity for Support Workers and Team Leaders to join a small but expanding company that provides residential care for Young People with autism and learning disabilities.
The Role of Support Worker
Salary: £20,160 - £21,200
Location: Cannock, Staffordshire - WS12/WS6 postal codes
Permanent, full time positions
Developmental Opportunities available
Fantastic work life balance of 2 shifts on/ 3 off, then 1 shift on/2 off
7:00am - 22:00pm with sleep in shifts available.
5.6 weeks annual leave p/anum
Please note in order to be considered for a Team Leader position, you will already have obtained an NVQ Level 3 in Children's Residential Care or equivalent

The Company
They provide services provide a stable, safe and nurturing environment to children and young people that require specialist care and support.
The service supports children and young people with learning disabilities, complex physical and health needs, and autistic spectrum conditions in their small group homes, which are safe, fun and specifically adapted to meet individual needs and to positively manage any risks in a child-centred approach.
The team are trained to deliver support in a way that puts the child at the centre of any decision-making, and we create a clear team around the child which includes families, carers, professionals and people important to the child or young person.
Each child or young person has a person-centred planner in place which is a structured programme young person's needs, designed and created to ensure we meet the individual goals and outcomes for each child and young person, in a way that makes sense to them, and using communication tools specific to the Young Person.
The service has both Support Worker and Team Leader positions available with developmental opportunities after your probationary period.
The Person
The successful candidates will be:
- Confident in responding appropriately to challenges within a residential environment.
- Patient, inspiring, caring and child-centred nature
- A strong team player, confident and motivated
- Resilient, able to work proactively with challenging behaviour
- Understanding of the management role in providing support & guidance for the staff team.
- Excellent observational skills
- Problem solving and the ability to think creativity
- This job requires individuals who value diversity, health and safety and are committed to safe working practices.
