Vetro Recruitment are currently recruiting for an organisation that works in close partnership with Universities and Colleges that provide a comprehensive range of academic and community support packages to students.

We are currently looking to recruit a number of Specialist Support Workers to Universities in Liverpool and Ormskirk (You would be placed at one specific University).

Our Client is looking for an enthusiastic and committed Specialist Support Workers to undertake support provision to students attending University or College on a flexible basis.

Typical duties will include academic support such as note-taking, proof reading and practical support, in addition to assistance with personal care.

Applicants MUST be comfortable with delivering personal care which may include showering, toileting and dressing. Experience is desirable but not essential to undertake these duties as full training will be provided.

To be considered for this position you must have completed one year of a degree qualification and have a caring attitude and a desire to improve the lives of others.

The Students will have varying SEN and disabilities, both physical and learning.

We will be looking for Support Workers to work either on the education side and in the community setting, ideally we would recruit somebody that will work on both sides.

Pay for the role will be between £7.83 and £9.00 per hour + generous sleep in rate.

Shifts are flexible, the community setting side will also include sleep ins.

To be considered for the role you must have the below:

  • 6 months experience in care or passion for caring for people
  • 1 year of a University degree completed (Not neccassary if only interested in supporting outside of education setting)
  • Personable, approachable.
  • For the service in Ormskirk, you would need to hold a driving license, a dirving license is not essentail for the role based in Liverpool.
