We are looking for a number of experienced SEN teaching assistants for long and mid-term assignments in SEN Schools across the Rhondda valley, specifically in the Ystrad Rhondda area. These assignments will see you supporting children as part of the whole class and on a 1-2-1 basis.

Job Type: mid-term and long-term placements
Pay: £65 to £70 per day

- At least 3 months experience of working with children in schools, nurseries or similar
- Experience of supporting learners with autistic spectrum disorder (ASD)
- Be registered with the EWC (School Support Worker)
- References covering the last two years (no gaps)
- Hold a current DBS on the update service or willing to take one out
- The Right to Work in the UK
- Supporting learners with Autism Spectrum Disorder as well as other special educational needs
- Preparing the classroom alongside the class Teacher
- Working with learners in small groups/and or working 1:1
- Putting together displays of children’s work
- Helping out on school trips
- Supporting teachers in managing class behaviour
- Listening to children read, reading to them or telling them stories
- Helping children who need extra support to complete tasks
