Teaching Assistant Jobs - ASD provisions

Aberdare - RCT

£60 - £70 per day

September 2019 start dates

As Vetro Education's reputation as a supplier of quality SEND staff grows and grows we require a large number of specialist Teaching Assistants in the Cynon Valley area of RCT to continue to support the SEND schools we work with on a weekly basis.

Teaching Assistants with experience of working in ASD environments are in high demand. As a result we are extremely keen to speak to Teaching Assistants experienced in working with pupils on the autistic spectrum who are interested in supporting schools on a long term, short term or Ad Hoc basis.

As well as ad hoc cover, this specific school are looking for a Teaching Assistant who can work in a post 16 ASD environment from September 2019, for 5 days a week with a view to being at the school for the whole academic year.

Duties of the role will include:

Support the class teacher in the delivery of their lessons

Support pupils on a 1-2-1 and group basis in line with the national curriculum

Follow the school's behaviour management policy

Engage with pupils both in the classroom and on out-of-school activities

The school is also in the process of sorting their requirements for September 2019 - so getting a "foot in the door" now could result in a long term position for the next academic year.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 3 months experience (where we can obtain a reference) of working with children in an SEND environment - Specifically ASD
  • Fully enhanced DBS (on the Update service) - ability to obtain a new one
  • References covering the last two years (no gaps)
  • EWC registration (School support worker)
  • Right to work in the UK

While working with Vetro Education you can expect the following:

  • Great rates of pay
  • No payroll fees
  • Dedicated, education led consultants who listen to the needs of each individual
  • To benefit from 100 years experience within the Education and Care sectors
