Following a very successful start to the summer term with SEND schools across Rhondda Cynon Taf, Vetro Education require a large number of specialist Teaching Assistants in the Cynon Valley area - specifically in and around Aberdare.
An area of particular interest for Vetro is increased work within Profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) provisions. As a result we are extremely keen to speak to Teaching Assistants experienced in working with pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties who are interested in supporting schools on a long term, short term or Ad Hoc basis.
Vetro Education are working with SEND schools on a weekly basis and these schools regularly require staff booked on block/ long term bookings as well as more casual schedules (flexible hours are available)
The school is also in the process of sorting their requirements for September 2019 - so getting a "foot in the door" now could result in a return to the school for the next academic year.
As a successful candidate your role will include both one-to-one work as well as work with small groups. You will be expected to recognise the needs of the pupils from the outset and be confident working with pupils at all stages of the autistic spectrum.
- 3 months experience of working with children in an SEND environment - Specifically PMLD
- Fully enhanced DBS (on the Update service) - ability to obtain a new one
- References covering the last three years (no gaps)
- EWC registration (School support worker)
- Right to work in the UK
