As Vetro Education's reputation as a supplier of quality SEND staff grows and grows we are very keen to recruit a number of Team Teach trained Teaching Assistants to start work from September 2019 onward.

Teaching Assistants with experience of working with challenging behaviour in a SEND setting are in high demand. As a result we are extremely keen to speak to Teaching Assistants with this type of experience, who are interested in supporting schools on a long term, short term or Ad Hoc basis.

As well as ad hoc cover, we are looking for SEND teaching Assistants who are Team Teach trained who can work in 1-2-1 roles from September 2019 onward, for 5 days a week with a view to being at the school for the whole academic year.

Duties of the role will include:

Support the class teacher in the delivery of their lessons
Working on a 1-2-1 basis with pupils who have extreme challenging behaviour
Follow the school's behaviour management policy
Engage with pupils both in the classroom and on out-of-school activities

Minimum Requirements:

3 months experience (where we can obtain a reference) of working with children in a SEND environment - Specifically EBD and challenging behaviour
Fully enhanced DBS (on the Update service) - ability to obtain a new one
References covering the last two years (no gaps)
EWC registration (School support worker)
Right to work in the UK
