We are currently recruiting for a number of Teaching Assistant to join a growing team for a specialist school that teaches and cares for Children and Young People who have mild, moderate and severe autistic spectrum conditions and associated complex learning needs.

The School is based on the same site as the services residential units. The service moved to their bespoke new site in September 2017, with specialist facilities, which provides a spacious, calm and safe environment in which young people can thrive and learn. Such facilities fully support their creative learning curriculum and a "Total Communication" approach to education for children who do not use much, if any, spoken language (such children are often referred to an non-verbal).

It will be your responsibility to support and care for the Children and Young people on either a 2:1 or 1:1 support ratio, throughout the school day.

The hours are Monday to Friday 7:30- 3:30 (One day a week, you finish at 4:30, due to staff meetings).

Pay scale:

TA Level 1 - £8.30 per hour
TA Level 2 - £9.37 per hour
TA Level 3 - £10.26 per hour

There will be overtime available on the care side for school holidays.

You can be considered for the role if you:

- Experience as a TA in similar setting
- Have experience as a TA
- Experience with Children or Adults who have Autism or LD
