Vetro Recruitment are recruiting for a well established Children's Care provider, based in the North West.

The specific positions that I am recruiting for are for Support Worker's and a Team Leader to join a Barge that is docked in Rufford, near Preston and a Team Leader for their residential service in Southport.

The Barge offers a maximum stay of 28 days crisis intervention placements. The Barge will accommodate either 1 Male or 1 Female at any one time, aged between 8-17.

The Young People that stay will have challenging behaviours and complex needs arising from emotional trauma and the subsequent impact on behaviour including presenting issues of self-harm, inappropriate sexualized behaviour, loss, bereavement and attachment trauma, substance use and frequent absence from home or school.

It will be your job to offer therapeutic support through day to day activities and recreational activities such as canoeing and walking.

The support is on a ratio of 2:1

The Southport Team Leader role is within a 5 bedded service, for Children with EBD -

Pay for the Support Worker role is £8.08 + £50 per sleep

Pay for the Team Leader role is £9.08 per hour, plus £50 per sleep.

The shift pattern is 1 on 2 off. (Overtime usually available).

To be considered for the role, you will need the following

  • Experience caring for Children and YP in a Residential setting
  • Experience caring for Children with EBD and challenging behaviours
  • Ideally you will have your NVQ Level 3 Children and Young People
  • Team Leadeer roles you will have at least Senior experience in a residential setting with Children.
