Salary: £16,649 (£8.21ph) - £18,860 (£9.30ph)

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Full time Waking Night Support Worker, to play a key part in assisting adults within a residential setting in Gosport. You will be delivering support in a way that promotes and empowers individuals to develop life skills that enable them to have greater independence and personal choice.
You will be working within a supported living unit for up to 6 Adults with Learning Disabilities and associated needs.
You will be required to provide care and support throughout the night with personal hygiene tasks, moving and handling where required and medication administration. Full Training can be provided for the above.
- Your approach will be person-centred with the ability to calmly manage challenging situations, demonstrate empathy with others and adapt easily to change. This full-time post works to a shift rota pattern so you are aware of your hours in advance.
-Due to the physical and vulnerable nature of the people you will be supporting and the need to support individuals safely, this role can be both physically and emotionally demanding. However, the client considers the enormous rewards and satisfaction of supporting people to achieve their goals outweigh such demands.
-Experience of autism, learning disabilities, non-verbal communication and working with challenging behaviours is desirable; however, you will be provided with a superb comprehensive training programme, which will support your knowledge and development of essential skills to do a good job within this exciting role.
-You will be supported in achieving the Care Certificate and Health and Social Care qualifications via apprenticeships where required/ desired.
You may have experience of the following:
-Supporting people with additional needs and behaviours that can challenge
-Working within a residential or supported living unit for people with complex needs
-Promoting independence for vulnerable people
-Working nights within a similar care setting
-Knowledge or understanding of additional needs such as Autism
