Vetro Education are currently working with a small group of Welsh Medium Primary schools who are looking for 1 or 2 Primary School Teachers to cover across the cluster.
This is the perfect opportunity for someone who is looking for 2-3 days work per week with the potential to work full weeks if desired.
You will be required to cover sickness and PPA across Foundation Phase and Key Stage 2.
Duties will include:
- Planning lessons
- Communicating with parents, teachers, administrative staff
- Marking and assessment
- Delivering stimulating lessons across the curriculum
- Contributing to school events
- Classroom management
- Monitoring progress of pupils
- Assessing knowledge through tests/assignments
- Teaching a variety of subjects across the curriculum
It is essential to have Qualified Teaching Status (QTS) if you plan to work at an LEA school.
There are three main ways of gaining QTS:
Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
Graduate Teacher Programme (GTP)
School Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT)
