Vetro Education are currently working with a small cluster of Welsh Medium Primary schools who are looking to work with a flexible and reliable Teacher who would be happy to work across the Foundation Phase and Key Stage 2 as and when needed to cover sickness and courses.

Salary: £100-£125 per day

Location: Cardiff

Hours: Weekdays, Full-time, Part-time, Ad Hoc

Primary School Teacher Duties Include:

Planning lessons with support of school staff

Teaching a variety of subjects according to the curriculum

Marking and assessment

Leading and assisting a class of Foundation Phase learners

Using class resources effectively

Monitoring the development of individual students

Assessing skills and knowledge through tests and assignments

Communicating with parents, the LEA and administrative staff

Contributing to school events

The school and children are looking for a Primary School Teacher who is:

Well-organised

Motivated

Patient

Good at communicating and explaining trick tasks

Enthusiastic and versatile

Creative and adaptable

Entry Criteria:

It is essential to have Qualified Teaching Status (QTS) if you plan to work at an LEA school.

There are three main ways of gaining QTS:

Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)

Graduate Teacher Programme (GTP)

School Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT)

You must be registered with the EWC

You must have a current Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service- or be willing to take one out
