We have an AMAZING opportunity for a Support Worker to join a number of fantastic young persons’ supported housing projects in the Bristol area. You will be supporting young people to manage their own tenancy and promote independence.

Supporting young people in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, you can enable them to develop socially, emotionally, and behaviourally in a setting where they feel safe and cared for. The role is challenging but incredibly rewarding! You will be committed, passionate, and able to engage, encourage, and mentor the young people, whilst having a lot of fun!
Location: Bristol/Yate
Job Type: Young Persons’ Supported Housing
Shifts: Earlies: (08:00-15:00), Lates (15:00-23:00)
Pay: £11.09 per hour(inclusive of holiday pay) 
About the role and service:
  • To assist the project team to achieve positive outcomes and stated goals for the young people, building on strengths and helping overcome the young person’s barriers to achievement. 
  • To respond to requests and issues from young people, continually assessing the housing and support needs and risks of young people. 
  • To safeguard and promote the welfare of children and vulnerable young people at all times
  • To assist the project team to maximise each young person’s income & to support and encourage young people in rent payment. 
  • Assist the project team to work with individuals and groups of young people, so that they are encouraged to meaningfully occupy their time, supporting and assisting young people seeking to establish their learning needs and progress, and achieve vocational and academic qualifications. 
  • Ensure young people receive the best possible support by ensuring that all relevant support and housing management paperwork and processes are completed. 
  • Ensure the health, safety and security of the Project, colleagues, young people and visitors: take reasonable care to protect yourself and any other persons who may be affected by your actions or omissions, complying with all health and safety legislation and procedures. 
  • To undertake cleaning tasks as directed, to ensure that young people's rooms, communal and staff areas are safe and clean. 
  • To proactively report and/or remedy defects (where appropriate) in the buildings, furniture and equipment following relevant policies and procedures 
  • Excellent Rates of pay, weekly pay, and not Umbrella so no payroll charges.
