Job Description:
Our client, a leading specialist provider, is seeking a dedicated Children's Registered Manager to oversee a new residential service in Chorley. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader to manage a supportive environment for children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and challenging behaviours. The Children's Registered Manager will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care, compliance with OFSTED standards, and fostering a positive, nurturing environment for young residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Register and maintain OFSTED compliance as the manager of the residential home in Chorley.
- Work closely with the Responsible Individual (RI) to ensure the service effectively supports young people.
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of care staff, including recruitment and management.
- Promote independence and life skills for children and young people, prioritising their safety and well-being.
- Ensure the service adheres to all relevant legislation, regulations, and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records and oversee the day-to-day running of the home.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in residential care for children or a related field.
- At least 2 years’ experience supervising and managing care staff.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare.
- Full UK driving licence.
- In-depth knowledge of OFSTED regulations, relevant legislation, and quality standards.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build meaningful relationships.
