Job Title: Children’s Residential Home Manager – Intake & Assessment in Birmingham
Location: Birmingham, West Midlands, UK
Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum DOE + £5,000 annual bonus

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Children’s Residential Home Manager to lead a new Intake & Assessment children's home in Birmingham. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop tailored Care Plans that meet the individual needs of each young person, covering education, social, emotional, cultural, therapeutic, and health requirements.
- Recruit, develop, and retain a motivated team to ensure high standards of care, with support from recruitment specialists.
- Implement effective consultation systems to involve young people in decisions regarding their care.
- Assign Key Workers to deliver personalized care and ensure consistency.
- Maintain compliance with Ofsted standards, achieving and sustaining a 'Good' or better rating.
- Address complaints and safeguarding concerns promptly and effectively.
- Collaborate with parents, carers, and professionals to promote the welfare of young people.
- Participate in care planning, review meetings, and audits.
- Ensure the home operates within budget while maintaining high-quality care.
- Foster a safe, positive culture within the home and promote best practices in safeguarding and care standards.
Essential Requirements & Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in children’s residential care, including 1 year in a supervisory role within the last 5 years.
- Level 3 in Children’s Residential Care is essential; Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification preferred or enrolled within 6 months.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, quality standards, and child protection legislation.
- Excellent planning, organisation, and team leadership skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care and managing challenging behaviour.
- Full UK driving license is required.
