Job Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join a leading provider of children's services in Hinckley, Leicestershire. This role offers the chance to work within a supportive environment, helping vulnerable children and young people between the ages of 8-18 to develop confidence, independence, and social skills. The Deputy Manager will play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality care and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of service users across multiple homes in the area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build trusting, nurturing relationships that promote independence and wellbeing.
- Work collaboratively with parents, carers, and professionals to support children and young people.
- Lead staff supervision and shift management to ensure consistent, high standards of care.
- Support the Registered Manager with audits, compliance, and administrative duties.
- Contribute to the maintenance and upkeep of the home, including domestic tasks.
- Accurately document and maintain records related to safeguarding, care plans, and incident reports.
- Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are strictly followed.
- Promote a safe, secure, and supportive environment at all times.
Requirements:
- Hold a Level 3 qualification relevant to Residential Childcare.
- Be willing to work towards the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care and Children & Young People's Services.
- Have at least 1 year of supervisory and shift-leading experience in a children's residential setting.
- Knowledge of OFSTED regulations and standards for children's homes, with the ability to support the team in achieving outstanding ratings.
- Experience in safeguarding, recording, and reporting to protect children and young people effectively.
