Position: Registered Manager (Children’s Residential Home)

Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 per annum

Are you experienced in children's residential services? Do you have experience supervising, leading, or managing staff? Or are you currently a Deputy Manager looking for an exciting new challenge as a Registered Manager? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

About the Role

We are an Ofsted-registered provider with a strong track record in supporting young people. As part of our expansion, we are opening our first children’s home and seeking a dedicated Registered Manager to lead and develop the service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop, and manage the children’s home, ensuring the highest standards of care.

  • Oversee the development and implementation of individual care plans.

  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and UK safeguarding legislation.

  • Foster a nurturing environment for both staff and children.

  • Recruit, manage, and support a dedicated team, promoting professional development.

  • Liaise with external agencies, families, and stakeholders to ensure the best outcomes for children.

Essential Requirements

  • 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years in children’s residential services.

  • 1 year experience supervising or managing staff.

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to start within 3 months).

  • Strong knowledge of The Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and safeguarding procedures.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Commitment to promoting the welfare and safeguarding of children and young people.

  • Ability to commute to Waltham Forest, Greater London.

  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (on-call duties required).

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience managing a home with a “Good” or “Outstanding” Ofsted rating.

  • Understanding of Therapeutic Practices and PACE.
