Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Primary School Teaching Assistant to join a reputable primary school in Tredegar, Blaenau Gwent. This full-time, long-term role offers an exciting opportunity to work within the foundation phase, supporting early childhood development and creating an engaging, inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide effective classroom support to teachers within the foundation phase
• Assist in the delivery of engaging lessons and activities for early learners
• Support individual pupils and small groups to enhance learning outcomes
• Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment
• Help manage the classroom and encourage pupil engagement and behaviour
• Collaborate closely with the Class Teacher to implement lesson plans and school policies
• Support pupils with additional learning needs as required

Candidate Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children in a primary school setting is desirable
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Enthusiastic, proactive, and dedicated to supporting young learners
• Ability to adapt to different classroom environments and pupil needs
• Basic knowledge of the curriculum and classroom management techniques
• Relevant qualifications or training in supporting teaching and learning (e.g., CACHE Level 2 or 3) is advantageous

Additional Details:

• Full-time, long-term role working Monday to Friday
• Working hours: 8:30 am – 3:30 pm
• Immediate start available for the right candidate
