As of the 1st April 2016 revalidation will be introduced for all nurses and midwives. Revalidation is a straightforward process that helps you to demonstrate that you practice safely and effectively.
We employ two Nurses within the office who have a combined 40 years nursing experience to support you through the revalidation process.

Why is revalidation being introduced?
As of the 1st April 2016 revalidation will be introduced for all nurses and midwives. Revalidation is straightforward and will help you to demonstrate that you practice safely and effectively.
When should I revalidate?
The NMC revalidation needs to be completed every three years. Your revalidation application deadline is the first day of the month that your registration expires. For example, if your registration expires on 30 June 2016, your revalidation application, and fees, will need to be submitted to the NMC by 1 June 2016.

Do I need to be in a permanent job to revalidate?
No. If you only work for an agency you’re still able to revalidate. If Vetro Nursing is your main employer you can contact your Dedicated Nurse Consultant.
Do I need to revalidate if I only do agency work?
Declaring your main employer
If you are currently practising in more than one setting, you will need to tell the NMC which you consider to be your main employer. The NMC will need to know if you are currently practising and where you undertake that practice, including details of your scope of practice and work setting.
