Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant

Job Description:
Our client, a welcoming Church of England primary school in the Wirral, Merseyside, is seeking a caring and enthusiastic 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to support children’s learning and development within a nurturing village school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant based in the Wirral, your daily duties will include:
- Supporting individual children with their learning activities to ensure engagement and understanding
- Assisting small groups of pupils to promote inclusive and effective learning experiences
- Helping during whole-class lessons and activities to facilitate smooth classroom operation
- Supervising break and lunchtimes, ensuring children’s safety and well-being
- Assisting with serving lunches and maintaining a positive, supportive environment throughout the school day
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will need:
- A relevant qualification such as NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning
- Experience working with children in a school or similar setting
- Mandatory compliance with an Enhanced DBS check and eligibility to work in the UK
- Strong communication skills and a warm, encouraging approach to children and colleagues
