Job Description:
An established Primary Academy in the Wirral is seeking a dedicated Additional Needs Teaching Assistant to support pupils facing barriers to learning.
This temporary role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a vibrant primary school environment, contributing to the development and wellbeing of children across various year groups and provision areas, including the EYFS and specialist settings.
Key Responsibilities:
As an Additional Needs Teaching Assistant (ANTA) Level 2 based in the Wirral your daily duties will include:
- Providing targeted and general classroom support to pupils with additional needs.
- Working closely with teachers to implement individualised learning plans.
- Supporting children’s social, emotional, and behavioural development.
- Assisting in creating an inclusive and positive learning environment.
- Adapting activities to meet the diverse needs of pupils across different year groups and settings.
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as an Additional Needs Teaching Assistant, you will need:
- Relevant primary school experience, with a strong understanding of children’s educational development.
- A Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent.
- Demonstrable experience working with children with special educational needs.
- Mandatory compliance with an Enhanced DBS check and safeguarding policies.
