Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Administration Manager to oversee administrative, facilities, and health & safety services across our clients' sites in Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire. Based within a rural setting at the foot of the Preseli Mountains, this role offers a unique opportunity to support a specialised educational environment dedicated to practical land and craft activities.
Key Responsibilities:
As an Administration Manager based in Carmarthenshire, your daily duties will include:
- Managing the college’s administrative functions, including reception, records, and general support for the Senior Management Team.
- Overseeing health and safety compliance, conducting audits, and maintaining records across both sites.
- Leading facilities management, including overseeing cleaning schedules, managing service contracts, and ensuring a safe environment.
- Supporting procurement processes, budget management, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Contributing to quality assurance activities, including inspection preparations and reporting.
- Supervising administrative staff, motivating teams, and supporting professional development.
- Ensuring effective communication with external bodies, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as an Administration Manager, you will need:
- Proven experience managing administration functions within a busy environment.
- Experience leading teams and managing multiple priorities.
- Strong organisational, communication, and IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance processes.
- High levels of discretion, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Experience within education or a regulated setting is desirable.
- Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 3, or equivalent, are preferred.
- Mandatory compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, and safer recruitment training.
