Salary: £14.24 per hour (including holiday pay)

As a Homeless Support Worker in Bridgend, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals facing homelessness and related challenges, offering guidance, emotional support, and practical assistance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support hostel occupants, ensuring they adhere to hostel rules and regulations
• Provide emotional support to individuals experiencing homelessness or mental health issues
• Explain and enforce health and safety procedures within the hostel environment
• Offer relevant information to visitors and residents of the hostel
• Liaise with Housing Officers to meet client needs effectively
• Promote equality and diversity within the supported housing environment
• Maintain high standards of customer care and safety

Requirements:

• Strong empathetic approach and value-based attitude
• Experience within a social care or supported housing environment is preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work flexibly across various shifts (7am - 3pm, 3pm - 11pm, 11pm - 7am)
• Commitment to promoting a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment
