Job Description:

Our client, a leading healthcare provider in Mumbles, Swansea, is seeking dedicated Adult Learning Disability Support Workers to join their team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference within a supportive environment, providing care and assistance to residents with diverse needs, including learning disabilities, mental health conditions, physical disabilities, or sensory impairments.


Key Responsibilities:
As an Adult Learning Disability Support Worker based in Mumbles, Swansea, your daily duties will include:

  • Providing therapeutic care and support to individuals with Autism and complex needs, ensuring dignity, compassion, and honesty in all interactions.
  • Monitoring, observing, and recording residents’ conditions to support their care pathway towards greater independence.
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement personalised care plans.
  • Assisting residents with daily activities, promoting their wellbeing and progression.
  • Supporting residents through their care journey, helping them achieve their personal goals.

Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as an Adult Learning Disability Support Worker, you will need:

  • A genuine desire to create positive outcomes for adults with learning disabilities.
  • Empathetic, caring, and resilient nature.
  • At least 6 months of experience working within a social care setting.
  • Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service, or be willing to obtain one.
  • The right to work in the UK.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • Ability to pay for practical training (e.g., PBM, Manual Handling, Buccal) unless already certified.
  • Willingness to complete online training modules (free of charge).
