Job Description
As an Adult Learning Disability Support Worker in Pontypridd, you’ll support adults with learning disabilities and additional needs to live safer, more independent lives. Working within a specialist, person-centred service, you’ll be part of a supportive team focused on dignity, choice, and meaningful outcomes. You’ll be supporting individuals who may present with autism, mental health needs, physical disabilities, sensory impairments, and/or complex behaviours. The service follows structured support plans and promotes positive engagement, daily living skills, and community inclusion.

Key Responsibilities
As a Adult Learning Disability Support Worker based in Pontypridd, your daily duties will include:

• Delivering consistent, person-centred support that promotes independence, wellbeing, and positive routines
• Observing, monitoring, and recording outcomes accurately, contributing to support plans and risk management
• Working collaboratively with colleagues and wider professionals to provide safe, respectful, and empowering care

Requirements & Qualifications
To be successful as a Adult Learning Disability Support Worker, you will need:

• At least 6 months’ experience in a social care/support work setting
• A caring, resilient, and professional approach with the ability to support individuals with complex needs
• Enhanced DBS (on the update service or willingness to obtain) and Right to Work in the UK (a Full UK Driving Licence is desirable depending on shift/location needs)
