Job Description
We are recruiting an Adult Learning Disability Support Worker to support adults in a specialist setting. This is a rewarding opportunity to help individuals build independence, confidence, and everyday life skills within a values-led, person-centred service.
Key Responsibilities
As a Adult Learning Disability Support Worker your daily duties will include:
- Supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, and/or physical or sensory impairments using a person-centred approach
- Observing, monitoring, and recording progress, ensuring care is delivered with dignity, respect, and safeguarding at the forefront
- Encouraging independence, social inclusion, and positive routines through meaningful daily activities and community support
Requirements & Qualifications
To be successful as a Adult Learning Disability Support Worker, you will need:
- At least 6 months’ experience in a social care/support setting
- Enhanced DBS (or the ability to obtain one, ideally on the Update Service)
- Right to work in the UK and a resilient, empathetic approach to supporting vulnerable adults
