Job Description:

As a Learning Disability Support Worker in Barry, you will play a vital role in helping individuals with autism spectrum conditions and complex needs lead more independent lives. This full-time position offers flexible shifts, including day, night, and sleep shifts, with immediate start options.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting individuals with daily tasks such as cooking, cleaning, personal care, and attending appointments
- Promoting independence and developing life skills
- Building positive relationships with service users, families, and team members
- Participating in engaging activities like walks, games, music sessions, and arts & crafts
- Supporting emotional wellbeing and helping individuals achieve their personal goals
- Ensuring safety, dignity, and well-being of residents by observing, monitoring, and recording their conditions
Requirements:
- At least 6 months of experience working within a social care setting
- Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to pay for one
- Right to work in the UK
- Ability to work above 24 hours per week
- A driver’s licence and access to a vehicle are essential for supporting residents in the community and attending activities
