Job Title: Learning Disability Support Worker – Pencoed

Location: Pencoed, Bridgend, Wales

Salary: £13.68 per hour (including holiday pay)

As a Learning Disability Support Worker in Pencoed, you will play a vital role in helping individuals with autism spectrum conditions and complex needs lead more independent lives. Whether working in residential, supported living, or day services, your dedication will help residents achieve their personal goals and enjoy a better quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting individuals with daily tasks such as cooking, cleaning, personal care, and attending appointments
• Promoting independence and developing life skills
• Building positive relationships with service users, families, and team members
• Participating in engaging activities like walks, games, music sessions, arts & crafts, and more
• Supporting emotional wellbeing and helping individuals achieve their goals
• Ensuring safety, dignity, and wellbeing of all service users
• Observing, monitoring, and recording residents' conditions

Requirements:

• At least 6 months of experience in a social care setting
• Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to pay for one
• Right to work in the UK
• Ability to work above 24 hours per week
• A driver’s license and access to a vehicle, as supporting residents in the community is part of the role
