Salary: £14.24 per hour (including holiday pay)

As a Learning Disability Support Worker in Saint Athan, you will play a vital part in promoting independence, fostering positive relationships, and supporting emotional wellbeing. Whether you are looking for part-time or full-time hours, this position provides flexible shifts, including days, nights, and sleepovers, with immediate start options.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support individuals with daily tasks such as cooking, cleaning, personal care, and attending appointments
- Promote independence and encourage the development of life skills
- Build positive relationships with service users, their families, and team members
- Participate in engaging activities like walks, games, music sessions, arts & crafts, and more
- Support emotional wellbeing and help individuals achieve their personal goals
- Ensure the safety, dignity, and wellbeing of every individual in your care
- Observe, monitor, and record residents’ conditions accurately
Requirements:
- At least 6 months of experience working within a social care setting
- Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to pay for one
- Right to work in the UK
- Ability to work above 24 hours per week
- A driver’s licence is essential, as supporting residents in the community may involve attending activities or hobbies, requiring access to your own vehicle
