Job Title: Adult Learning Disability Support Worker
Location: Caerphilly, Wales
Salary: £13.68 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)
Shifts: Mornings can be 7:30am - 3pm, 8am -2pm, 10am - 3pm . Afternoons 3pm - 10pm, 4pm - 9pm. Long days are 8am - 10pm.

Job Description:

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Adult Learning Disability Support Workers to join a leading specialist provider in Caerphilly. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities, mental health conditions, physical disabilities, or sensory impairments. Whether you are looking to gain valuable experience or develop your career in social care, this position provides flexible shifts and the chance to transition into a permanent role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide therapeutic care and support to residents with Autism and complex needs
  • Observe, monitor, and record patient conditions accurately
  • Assist residents through their care pathway to promote independence
  • Treat each individual with dignity, compassion, and honesty
  • Work collaboratively with a team of multi-professionals to deliver personalised care

Requirements:

  • At least 6 months of experience working within a social care setting
  • Empathetic, caring, and resilient nature
  • Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
  • Possess a full UK driving licence
  • Have the right to work in the UK
  • Ability to pay for practical training (PBM, Manual Handling, Buccal) unless already certified
  • Willingness to complete online training (at no cost)
