Adults Learning Disability Support Worker

I am actively seeking experienced Learning Disability Support Workers and Mental Health Support Workers in St Melons, Cardiff. The service supports those with learning and mobility difficulties with personal care, medication administration, food preparation, and community access.

Overview:

• Title: Adults Learning Disability Support Worker 

• Location: St Melons, Cardiff.
  
  Job Type: Temporary / temp to perm 

• Immediate starts available

• Pay: £13.68 p/h (inclusive of holidays)

• A full UK driving license is preferred but not essential 

• Manual Handling training is preferred but not essential as we run this course every month for £25.
  
  What you’ll be doing as a Support Worker:

You will provide therapeutic care and support to patients with autistic spectrum conditions and associated complex needs, including observing, monitoring, and keeping a record of patient conditions, treating each person with dignity, compassion, and honesty. You will be helping with their Progression through a care pathway to live as independently as possible. You will have the support of a team of multi-professionals. 

The candidate: 

What you’ll need to be successful as a Support Worker:

• A desire to create positive outcomes for adults with Learning Disabilities and Mental Health 

• Empathetic, caring and resilient nature

• At least 6 months experience of working within a social care setting

• Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or are willing to obtain one

• The right to work in the UK
