Job Title: Learning Disability Support Worker
Location: Ystrad Mynach, Caerphilly
Salary: £14.24 per hour (inclusive of holidays)
Job Description:
We are seeking experienced Learning Disability Support Workers in Ystrad Mynach, Caerphilly, to join a dedicated team supporting individuals with learning and mobility difficulties. This role offers an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of adults with learning disabilities and complex needs. The successful candidate will provide compassionate, person-centred care, helping individuals progress towards greater independence within a supportive environment. Immediate starts are available for the Learning Disability Support Worker role in Ystrad Mynach, Caerphilly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver therapeutic care and support to individuals with autistic spectrum conditions and complex needs
- Observe, monitor, and record patient conditions accurately
- Assist with personal care, medication administration, and food preparation
- Support individuals in accessing community activities and promoting independence
- Work collaboratively with a multi-professional team to develop and implement care plans
- Treat each person with dignity, compassion, and honesty
Requirements:
- Passion for creating positive outcomes for adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs
- Empathetic, caring, and resilient attitude
- Minimum of 6 months’ experience in a social care setting
- Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
- Full UK driving licence preferred but not essential
- Manual Handling training (preferred, courses available at £25)
- Right to work in the UK
