Job Title: Learning Disability Support Worker – Penarth

Salary: £13.68 per hour (including holiday pay)

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting individuals with daily tasks such as cooking, cleaning, personal care, and attending appointments
• Promoting independence and encouraging development of life skills
• Building positive relationships with service users, families, and team members
• Participating in engaging activities like walks, games, music sessions, arts & crafts, and more
• Supporting emotional wellbeing and helping individuals achieve their personal goals
• Ensuring safety, dignity, and wellbeing of all service users by observing, monitoring, and recording their conditions

Requirements:

• At least 6 months of experience working within a social care setting
• Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to pay for one
• Right to work in the UK
• Ability to work above 24 hours per week
• A driver’s license is essential, as supporting residents in the community may involve attending activities or hobbies, requiring access to your own vehicle
