Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Primary School Teaching Assistant to join a well-regarded primary school in Gelligaer, Caerphilly. This full-time, long-term role offers an exciting opportunity to work within the foundation phase, supporting pupils to reach their potential in a caring and inclusive setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide effective classroom support to teachers and pupils in the foundation phase.
• Assist with the delivery of engaging, child-centered learning activities.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all pupils.
• Support individual or small groups of children, including those with ALN (Additional Learning Needs).
• Supervise pupils during break times and assist with classroom management.
• Contribute to the overall well-being and development of students.

Requirements:

• Experience working with young children in a classroom setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and support staff.
• Enthusiastic, patient, and committed to fostering a stimulating learning environment.
• Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3 or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
• Must be flexible, proactive, and dedicated to supporting pupil progress.
