Job Title: ALN Teaching Assistant

Salary: £92.59 per day (minimum)
Job Description:
We are seeking experienced and dedicated ALN Teaching Assistants to join a leading specialist provider in Aberdare. This role offers an excellent opportunity to support learners with additional needs, including ASD, PDA, Global Delay Disorder, and challenging behaviour. As an ALN Teaching Assistant in Aberdare, you will play a vital role in creating a positive learning environment and supporting children with diverse needs. Key Responsibilities:
- Support and supervise learners with ASD, PDA, Global Delay Disorder, or challenging behaviour
- Assist learners at the start and end of the school day
- Help staff prepare classrooms for lessons
- Work with learners in small groups or on a 1:1 basis
- Support the class teacher in delivering lessons
- Assist learners during break times and with lunch
- Engage learners in classroom and out-of-classroom activities
- Follow the school's behaviour management policies
Requirements:
- At least 3 months of experience working with children in schools, nurseries, or childcare settings (experience within an SEN setting is beneficial)
- Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) – support available to help with registration
- Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
- References covering the last two years (with no gaps)
- Right to work in the UK
