Job Title: Teaching Assistant (Mainstream & ALN)
Location: Swansea, West Wales
Salary: £92.59 per day (Paid weekly via PAYE)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a leading specialist provider supporting schools across Swansea and West Wales. Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Class Teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons in Swansea schools
- Provide 1:1 and small group support, including literacy, numeracy, and wellbeing interventions
- Assist pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) to access the curriculum effectively
- Implement strategies from Individual Development Plans (IDPs), behaviour plans, and care plans
- Promote positive behaviour in line with school policies
- Support classroom preparation, resources, and displays
- Assist pupils with personal care and mobility where required (ALN roles)
Requirements:
- Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Education, or Supporting Teaching & Learning (desirable)
- Previous experience working with children or young people in schools, ALN settings, care, youth work, or residential environments
- Registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) or willing to apply
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (Vetro can support new applications)
- Reliable, patient, adaptable, and committed to inclusive education in Swansea
