Job Title: ALN Teaching Assistant
Location: Cwmbran, Torfaen, South Wales
Salary: £92.58 per day (minimum)
Employment Type: Full-time (Monday to Friday, 08:30–15:30)

Job Description
ALN Teaching Assistant required in Cwmbran, Torfaen to support pupils within a welcoming primary school environment. Working with a leading specialist provider of primary education, you’ll help create an inclusive, nurturing setting where children—particularly those with ALN/SEN—can thrive academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing high-quality in-class support to pupils to promote engagement and progress
• Working closely with the class teacher to deliver tailored support for individual learning needs, including ALN/SEN
• Assisting with planning and delivering learning activities, routines, and classroom organisation
• Supporting pupils’ social development, confidence, and independence through positive, consistent guidance
• Helping to maintain a safe, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
• Supporting personal care needs where required

Requirements & Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children (ideally in a primary and/or ALN/SEN setting)
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Confidence and competence with personal care
• A caring, patient, proactive approach to supporting pupils
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to complete one)
