Job Title: Primary School ALN Teaching Assistant - MALE - Foundation Phase | Full-Time, Long-Term Role

Location: Pontypridd, Rhondda Cynon Taf, UK

Salary: £90.00 per day (minimum)

Job Description:

Are you passionate about supporting young learners and making a positive impact in early years education? Our client, a leading primary school in Pontypridd, is seeking a dedicated Primary School ALN Teaching Assistant to join their foundation phase team on a full-time, long-term basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively with class teachers to create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment for children.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide general classroom support to facilitate effective learning
• Work closely with the Class Teacher to implement lesson plans and activities
• Support children with additional learning needs (ALN) in the foundation phase
• Assist in creating a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom atmosphere
• Supervise children during activities, breaks, and other daily routines
• Contribute to maintaining high standards of safeguarding and student wellbeing

Person Specification:

• Proven experience working as a Teaching Assistant or similar role in primary education
• Strong understanding of early years curriculum and ALN support
• Male candidates preferred to support specific classroom needs
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable, proactive, and committed to fostering a positive learning environment
• Flexibility to work Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
