We are seeking a dedicated SEN Residential Support Worker to join a leading specialist provider in Ribchester. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support young individuals facing challenges such as anger management, absconding, and criminal behaviours within a nurturing residential environment. As a SEN Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, personalised care that promotes independence, social skills, and overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 or 2:1 support to young people, including those with challenging behaviours
- Assist with personal care and daily living activities
- Implement and follow individualised care plans tailored to each young person’s needs
- Ensure the safety and well-being of young people at all times
- Support young people’s engagement with education at Vetro Regional School
- Work closely with the educational team to promote personal development
Requirements:
- Passion for working with young people with complex needs
- Patience, empathy, and resilience in challenging situations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- NVQ Level 3 in Children and Families or equivalent
- Current Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Right to work in the UK
- Experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential
