Job Title: Behaviour Specialist Teacher – Pupil Referral Service, Ebbw Vale
Location: Ebbw Vale, Blaenau Gwent, Wales
Salary: £173.00 per day (DOE)
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Behaviour Specialist Teacher to join a leading specialist provider supporting learners with SEMH, SEBD, EBD, and challenging behaviour in Ebbw Vale. This role offers an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact within a Pupil Referral Service, working with children and young people across primary, secondary, and SEN settings. The Behaviour Specialist Teacher will play a vital role in supporting learners and staff, delivering engaging lessons, and managing behaviour effectively in a dynamic educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and supervise learners with SEMH, SEBD, EBD, or challenging behaviour
- Assist learners at the start and end of the school day
- Support staff in preparing classrooms for lessons
- Deliver a variety of subjects across primary and secondary stages
- Engage learners through classroom and out-of-class activities
- Work in accordance with the school's behaviour management policies
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of teaching experience, preferably within a pupil referral setting
- Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) (support available)
- Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
- References covering the last two years (no gaps)
- Right to work in the UK
