Job Description:
A leading specialist provider is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Teaching Assistant with British Sign Language Level 2/3 to join a welcoming primary school in Swansea. This is an exciting opportunity to support a nursery pupil through 1:1 assistance, contributing to an inclusive and nurturing learning environment. The successful candidate will work effectively within a team, fostering positive relationships with pupils, parents, and staff, while promoting high standards of teaching and learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support to a nursery pupil with additional learning needs
- Assist in delivering high-quality teaching and learning activities
- Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and staff
- Contribute to the broader life of the school community
- Support the development of BSL communication skills across the school
- Work in a nurturing manner to encourage and motivate children
Requirements:
- British Sign Language Level 2/3 qualification
- Experience working in schools and supporting children with additional learning needs
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Enthusiastic, motivated, and committed to high standards
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and staff
- Willingness to contribute to a supportive and inclusive school environment
