We are seeking an ambitious and results-driven Business Development Manager to spearhead growth across the Yorkshire region. This is a pivotal role for an established provider of high-quality residential homes, dedicated to providing outstanding care and outcomes for young people with complex needs.
You will be responsible for driving the commissioning and placement strategy, building influential relationships with Local Authorities, and expanding our footprint across the country.
The organisation are currently covering the Yorkshire area, moving into the northwest, you will join them at a time where they are starting to plan to become a national organisation
The Role: Key Responsibilities
- Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong working relationships with commissioning teams, social workers, and Local Authority (LA) decision-makers across Yorkshire.
- Placement Strategy: Strategically drive placement volumes and occupancy levels across our residential portfolio in the region.
- Market Intelligence: Conduct market analysis to identify new service development opportunities and competitor activity.
- Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations for service contracts, ensuring profitable and sustainable agreements.
- Brand Advocacy: Act as a key ambassador for the company, effectively articulating our service offer and commitment to quality care.
- Reporting: Provide accurate forecasts and regular performance reports to the Senior Leadership Team.
Contract
- £55,000 - £70,000 + potential bonuses
- Full-time, permanent contract
- Office based in Yorkshire, potential flexible working options for the right candidate
Requirements:
- Essential Experience: Proven track record in a Business Development or Commissioning role specifically within the Children's Residential or Fostering sector.
- Commercial Acumen: Strong negotiation and influencing skills with the ability to manage complex tenders and contracts.
- Motivation: Highly driven, self-managing, and capable of working autonomously within a regional territory.
- Essential qualifications: Level 5 in leadership and management, Driving licence
