Job Description
Care Home Manager opportunity in Brecon, Powys, within a well-established nursing home supporting people living with dementia, learning disabilities and age-related conditions. This is a senior leadership role focused on delivering outstanding person-centred care, building a positive culture, and ensuring safe, compliant services.
Key Responsibilities
As a Care Home Manager based in Brecon, your daily duties will include:
- Leading the day-to-day operation of the home, ensuring high standards of care and resident wellbeing
- Inspiring, developing and supporting a multidisciplinary team through coaching, supervision and performance management
- Ensuring compliance with Social Care Wales requirements, clinical governance, quality assurance and continuous improvement
- Managing occupancy, admissions and stakeholder relationships (residents, families, healthcare professionals and the wider community)
- Overseeing budgets, staffing levels and resources to maintain safe, effective service delivery
Requirements & Qualifications
To be successful as a Care Home Manager, you will need:
- Level 5 Leadership & Management in Health & Social Care (or equivalent required for registration)
- Registration with Social Care Wales
- Proven experience managing a care home of a similar size (or larger), with strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and quality standards
- Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills, with a genuine commitment to improving outcomes for older people
