Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Children’s Home Manager in Liverpool. This role is ideal for both Deputy Managers seeking the next step in their career and experienced Registered Managers looking to join a forward-thinking organisation. The Children’s Home Manager will be responsible for the safe and effective management of a children’s home, supporting children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) and challenging behaviours.
You will work closely with the Responsible Individual (RI) to ensure the service remains compliant with OFSTED and company standards, maintaining the current ‘Good’ OFSTED rating. The Children’s Home Manager will lead, manage, and develop a dedicated staff team, ensuring all children receive child-focused support to create positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the children’s home in Liverpool, ensuring high standards of care and compliance.
- Support children and young people with EBD and challenging behaviours, promoting their well-being and development.
- Work with the RI to ensure the service complies with OFSTED regulations and company policies.
- Manage safeguarding concerns effectively and ensure the safety of all children and staff.
- Recruit, supervise, and develop staff team members, fostering a positive and professional environment.
- Manage the home’s budget and resources efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all staff are trained and supported appropriately.
Requirements:
- Level 5 in Leadership and Management.
- Level 3 in Children and Young People.
- Valid driving licence.
- Experience as a Deputy or Registered Manager within children’s services.
